Kamarajar Memorial. The man who fought for the masses & up bringing of the poor people. Great man with a simple life. Deserves more then a applause to what he has done to this city & every one should take a leaf out of his book to learn to live.
 

 


 
Good to see Gandhi Madapam being maintained in a good way, but it do has some flaws with the public who enter this place with wrong motives. People should understand the importance of this place & treat it to its merit rather then using it for private purposes.  I was shocked to see the inner part of this place. Its well maintained from the outside with some greenery but when u step inside is what the ugly truth comes out.

Triumphant Labour Statue - Marina Beach

On 25th January 1959, the statue of “Triumph of Labour”  made by  the Sculptor Mr.Devi Prasad Roy Chowdri was declared open by Honble.Governor of Tamilnadu Shri.Bishnuram Medhi in the presence of Mr.K.Kamarajar, the Honble.Chief Minister of Tamilnadu. The Triumph Labour Statue depicts an inspiring posture of a team of labourers engrossed at an difficult work. The monument is symbolic of the human spirit that triumphs over adversities with united labour. The ‘Labour Statue was the first statue erected in Marina Beach. This is a labor statue, dedicated to the various laborers who work hard to build every nation.

The Victoria Public Hall, which is also called as 'Town Hall', is one of the important heritage buildings of Chennai city which belongs to British period.
